im like i think 99% in mirandas route (the game advised me not to do her route first, so ofc i did her route first) and man im js hopping here to leave some good words because i love this. i didnt even play any re game (altought i do know some things about it because lets be fr, its resident evil ((it hit me like 50% in that miranda is,, mother miranda from the games)) and dude im in love i swear everything ab this game (or at least her route) is perfect from the subtle changes that reminds u that this vn is infact based of a horror game (cult talk, her changing to like a crow thing for a split second, the visions and others but i dont wanna spoil too much), the arstyle, the writing, the way it has me edging in my seat cause i dont know if we're boutta flippin die at this point,, and yeah im gonna stop here cause i wanna see the ending and my english is failing me (english is definetly not my first language) ((sorry for so many parantheses but istg this game is so good i dont even know how express myself lmfao)) anyways you guys rock wish you luck on this and other projects and you definetly deserve more attention

It could have a variety of reasons: temporarily turn off your malware defender, make sure you've got administrator rights, maybe use a different unpacker, or try redownloading the file.

Use an unpacker, for example WinRAR, to unpack it and then run the "Resident_Lover" file. You may have to run it as administrator or whitelist it in your malware defender. If this doesn't help, what system are you on exactly and where does an error occur?
i'm having like the exact same problem and i tried to troubleshoot it a little. checked properties and tried "unblock" and apply (didn't do anything). opening it with 7zip didn't work either sadly, i tried checking properties inside 7zip and it only has the same error messages like "unexpected end of data" or "archive is corrupt". so far there's nothing to help resolve it sadly as i tried the suggested stuff in the thread
I absolutely loved this game. Like completely. Every route was so different and unique and creepy at times bt weird enough my fav route was Mirandas. I was not expecting that at all. Then cassandra because awww man and Donna. You guys did an absolute marvelous job i thank you for especially making an android version. All these cool games never come available to me so i appreciate you and all the hard work you put it. This was a joy to play ♥️
You have to download "com.teamavia.residentlover-release.apk" and then install it with an Android file manager, and you will probably have to confirm that you want to install an app from an unknown source. You may also have to turn off some security settings on your phone, at least temporarily.
If your phone is not an Android, then you will have to play one of the desktop versions. It's only available as a mobile game on Android.

i think this is my favorite visual novel ive played, its really REALLY well made, each and every single character is so interesting, this has amazing characterization.

-i started with cassandra's route, my god, i thought i only simped for their mom, but you guys got me simping for their whole bloodline equally now.
cass is also so cute, the "my star" and their little date at the end (my face hurt from smiling so hard)
-bruh all of the bad/sad endings were heart wrenching (yk i didnt expect to be hit in the feels like that so hard) ESP THE STATUES MY LORD... THAT SCARED ME, and all the bad/sad endings for their daughters :( my heart bro
-ALSO SOFT BELA just ugh oh my god i cant even put into words how much i love this
-DONNA IS SO CUTE IM DYING the possessiveness is jsut ajsdlfjs god and shes so adorable just absolutely dying
-AND I JUST FINISHED MIRANDA'S ROUTE, HOLY SHIT BRUH, as much as i hated her in the other routes, SHES SO HOT aand also really really sweet, (the pouring alc into the characters mouth killed me, n the leash comment almost ascended my soul to a new plane existence) WAA IT WAS SOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD

So I finished my first play through and it ended with Alcina and I agreeing that we had to go on the run after she killed Miranda. I can't tell if this is a good, bad, or neutral ending. On one hand I'm sticking with my love interest and our relationship is well. On the other she also killed someone and we're now going to be on the run because of it.
Either way great game, loved the art style and the storyline. Can't wait to play the other love interests.
I've been waiting for the full release since this game was first announced, and I am SO READY. You bet your ass once I'm done uni I'm playing this with every waking moment.

I finished it, I love it. This game is so well made, probably gonna make you cry, gay panic and hyperventilate, but it is so worth it. All the routes are amazing and the art style is perfect. It fits so well, plot twists are amazing, just, you need to play this game
I'm so sad my laptop won't let me play. I've downloaded it on my macbook air (macOS Monterey 12.7.1) and it keeps saying it can't open the game because it can't identify the developer to tell if it's malware or not
Apple can be a bit stricter about allowing non-notarised software. You should be able to open it even if the defender complains if you go to Privacy & Security in System Settings and click on "Open Anyway".
WHOOPS! you’re right, lol! i think i remember the game not allowing me to go to the library as the scholar when i hadn’t completed all the routes, though i’ll need someone who hasn’t to correct me

Try turning off security settings in your browser or using a download manager.

you need to complete every other route first, then go to the library as the drifter!! honestly, it was so worth it. i absolutely adored this route
Slight emendation: it's in The Scholar, not The Drifter, (and technically completing the other routes first is recommended, but not needed).
